Pygmy sea horses hide in a type of coral called a sea
fan. The sea horse matches the color of the sea fan
perfectly. Even its bumps match the shape and color of
the coral’s bumps. These features make the sea horse
nearly impossible to find.
Just like pygmy sea
horses, many sea fans
are orange or purple.
