                     She shook her head.
                     “I know, let’s sing a song,” Benny begged.
                     “What song, Benny?”
                     “The happy song.” They had heard “Happy Days Are Here Again” on the
                   radio at home, and Benny loved it. Often at night around a campfire, the   n

                     Hallie began singing the words. Tom joined her, pretending he was strumming
                   a guitar. Benny chimed in, making up the words as he went along.
                     Suddenly Tom stopped. Hallie looked up at him, then realized her brother
                   was staring at something behind her. She turned and saw a man walking      Call Home
                   through the black trees toward them, a shotgun in his arms.
