Steven Stamkos - page 9

All-Star Experience
In 2015, Stamkos played in
his third NHL All-Star game.
It was his first since 2012.
Stamkos always enjoyed
playing in the game, even
if it meant he didn’t get a
break. The players who
aren’t selected for the game
get time off from the season.
Stamkos knows his career
won’t last forever. He wants
to enjoy playing in every
game he can.
before the Olympics, his
leg was not fully healed.
Canada played without
him. Stamkos would
have to wait until 2018.
Stamkos returned to
the Lightning on March
6, 2014. He did so as
the new team captain.
Even though Stamkos
played only 37 games,
he tied for the second-
most goals on the team.
The Lightning made the
playoffs. But they were
swept in the first round.
Stamkos started off the 2014–15 season with
his 250th goal. It was a great accomplishment. But
Stamkos was still focused on bringing the Stanley
Cup to Tampa Bay.
