DeMAR DeROZAN, SHOOTING GUARD, 6-FOOT-7, 2009–PRESENT
DeMar DeRozan’s basketball talent was obvious from an early age. He was already dunking
as a sixth-grader. He played on his high school’s varsity team all four years. As a freshman,
he averaged more than 26 points and 8 rebounds a game. He won national honors as a
senior. Many colleges wanted him. He chose the University of Southern California (USC). In
2016, DeRozan became Toronto’s second-leading career scorer with 9,436 points. He passed
Vince Carter. The next year, he surpassed Chris Bosh, the team's former all-time leader, and
kept pouring in the shots.
