bit: the tip of a tool that is used to cut or drill
calcium: a basic element found in many

predator: an animal that hunts or eats

reflector: a piece of plastic or glass that is
meant to shine light back at the viewer
regulate: to control
rover: a small vehicle used to explore extreme
places such as the surface of a planet or moon
species: a group of plants or animals with
similar features
stress: force or pressure
sub‑zero: temperatures below freezing, or
32°F (0°C)
technology: tools and knowledge used to
meet a need or solve a problem
trypanophobia: an intense fear of needles
vaccine: a medicine that protects people
against a disease
