Surviving the Sea - page 5

The sea is a beautiful and dangerous place. A storm
can appear in the distance. Ships can cross paths with
giant whales. A sudden wave can knock a boat sideways.
Out at sea, anything can happen. When you sail away
from land, you must be prepared for any situation. And
to survive in extreme circumstances, you must have an
iron will
.
Most people who set sail have training. They must
know how to guide their ships to safety when land is far
away. Ships carry supplies to help with the journey. But
when a ship is hit with disaster, everything on board is at
risk. What happens when a survivor is adrift on the ocean
with no fresh water and nothing to eat? What happens
when the ship and all the supplies sink to the ocean floor?
Then, one must learn to survive alone on the waves of
the sea.
iron will:

that you will not allow anything to stop you
