her. The fly stung Io all the time. Io couldn’t rest.
Hera rewarded Argus for his work. She took Argus’s eyes.
She put them in peacock feathers. That’s how peacock
feathers got their eyes. Peacocks were Hera’s special animals.
They pulled Hera’s chariot. They represented beauty.
Hera is also associated with the cuckoo bird.
