Leah Pritchett stands with her team. Pritchett is a Top Fuel
racer. Top Fuel cars got their name from the type of fuel
they use.
Nitromethane
burns fast and hot. It gives the
car a lot of power.
Pritchett’s team still needs to build the engine. Dragsters
are complicated machines. The race lasts only 4 seconds.
In that time,
spark plugs
melt. Tires can blow out.
