          Kathryn Hulick began her career with an adventure. She served two years in the Peace
        
        
          Corps in Kyrgyzstan, teaching English. She did not have a cell phone and had to travel for
        
        
          half an hour by taxi to use the Internet. But since her return to the United States, she em-
        
        
          braced digital technology and began writing books and articles for kids.Technology and
