When an earthquake or volcanic eruption
happens under the sea, it can suddenly push
aside lots of water. It can set off giant waves,
a tsunami. When the waves reach land, they
can wash away buildings.

Tsunami?
A tsunami is a series of huge ocean waves,
usually caused by an underwater earthquake.
Tsunami
is Japanese for “harbor wave.”
