August 26th, 1768 PLYMOUTH, ENGLAND
The H.M.S. Endeavour sailed out of Plymouth
this afternoon.
My galley’s on the mess deck. The men sling their
hammocks here at night, but they have to be gone
by eight in the morning so I can make breakfast.
