bit so they weren’t so stiff.” Cody held my eye
for a moment, like he was talking about me.
Then he grabbed the yo-yo again and spun it
down. “Anyway, it’s pretty clear what she’s up
to now.”
“Oh?” I said.
He flicked the yo-yo back up. “Grandma
wants you and Uncle Doug to talk to each
other.
That’s
why she wants you to deliver this
yo-yo to him.”
“We talk.”
