People saved him. They took him to a wildlife park.
Owen was scared. He was confused. He hid behind Mzee.
Mzee is a tortoise. He was 130 years old. He didn’t like Owen
at first. But they soon became best friends. They lived
together. They ate together. They slept
together. They
wallowed
together.
Wallow means to make and sit in a mud
hole. This is how hippos cool off.
