Noah and his dad walked across the beach to the dock.
White foam topped the gentle waves.
They stepped into the boat and greeted Captain Bowles.
“I loaded the supplies,” said Captain Bowles. “We are ready
to go up the coast.”
The boat rode the waves as it went out to sea.
A big wave washed over the side soaking Noah’s feet.
“This water is cold!” said Noah.
The boat slowed down. They cast their lines into the sea.
After a while, Noah’s line pulled down.
“Looks like a big one,” boasted Noah.
Just then, his line broke and the fish got away.
“Oh, well,” said Noah. “Time to try again.”
