CARING FOR THE CREW
Calvin searched the deck around
him. He desperately wished he had a
tourniquet, or tight bandage, to stop
the bleeding. During the Battle of
Santa Cruz, Calvin had seen medics
use tourniquets to save lives. Suddenly,
he had an idea. He turned back to Red
and started to remove his friend’s belt.
