STARTED
Ask an adult to be your assistant chef. Some steps
are safest with an adult nearby, such as using
sharp knives, hot burners, and the oven.
Read the recipe before you begin. Ask your adult
helper if you don’t understand any of the steps. Be
sure to check that you have
all
the ingredients.
Gather your supplies. You’ll need the right-sized
baking dish, a knife, mixing spoons, measuring cups
and spoons, a can opener, a grater, pots and pans,
and some bowls.
