tornadoes occur in these states.
The climate of Tornado Alley helps tornadoes to
form. Weather conditions in late spring make this area
prone to supercells. Warm, wet air blows in from the
Gulf of Mexico. Cold, dry air moves in from the north
and the Rocky Mountains. Warm, dry air moves in from
the southwest. When these air masses meet, they form a
front. The cool air mass slides under the warm air mass
