A few sports doctors work with professional sports
teams. Some work with individual athletes such as figure
skaters or golfers. They travel all over the world with the
athletes to games and competitions.
While there are many benefits, the career has some
disadvantages, too. Becoming a sports doctor takes years
of expensive, stressful education and training. It also takes
many years of experience before sports doctors are hired to
work with professional athletes. These doctors are usually
some of the best-known people in their field.
