Rose was buried with full
military
honors in North
Carolina. Six months later, in April 1865, the Union
won the Civil War. Rose is still remembered today as
a brave and daring woman who worked hard to help
the people she loved. Her courage and charm are
admired even by people who fought on the other side
of the war.
