                                        Joe Biden

In November 2020, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was
elected the forty-sixth president of the United States.

By the time of the election, Biden had worked in
government for 50 years. At 77 years old, he was the

oldest person ever elected US president.
During his career, Biden first trained as a lawyer. In later

years, he was elected to the US Senate. As Senator, Biden
became an expert in foreign policy. He was also tough on

                 crime.
In 2008, Biden was elected vice president when Barack
Obama was elected president. As vice president, Biden

advised President Obama on important matters, such as
the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Biden’s long experience in office later helped his 2020
presidential campaign. People trusted in his experience

as a leader. Biden promised progress in healthcare and
environmental law. As president, Biden led the country

during a time of great economic and social turmoil.
