ABOUT GENDER DYSPHORIA
Gender dysphoria is a state of distress. A
person may experience gender dysphoria
when their gender identity differs from their
assigned sex. Approximately 1.4 million
adults in the United States identify as a
gender that is different from the sex they
were assigned to at birth. Some of these
adults experience gender dysphoria. But a
