What Is the Future Outlook for Green
Building Construction Managers?
The future for green building construction managers is in general a
bright one. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and other similar
organizations predict that the green building industry will expand
steadily into the 2020s and 2030s. This will provide members of the
construction trades of all kinds with growing opportunities to find
jobs. More green construction managers will be needed to organize
and oversee all those new workers. The BLS estimates a growth rate
of 14 percent to 19 percent for construction managers in the green
building industry in 2018 and very likely the decade that follows. This
could easily amount to thousands of new jobs for people in that oc-
cupation during that period.
