What Is the Future Outlook
for Data Security Analysts?
As digital systems pervade every aspect of business and peo-
ple’s lives, the need to protect systems against malicious intru-
sion grows. Medical and financial records, retail transactions, and
government databases are all vulnerable to hackers seeking to
use the information for financial gain. DSAs are also fighting on
the front lines of a global information war in which nations attack
and disrupt military operations, utility grids, election systems, and
vital infrastructure such as airports, dams, and power plants. This
means the demand for skilled security techs for a wide variety of
organizations, and all over the world, will continue to grow.
