from this data. Statistics are numbers that
give information. For example, one type of
statistic is a player’s speed. Teams use this
information to improve their play.
The players warm up. They practice
shooting baskets. They go to the sidelines
just before the game starts. They surround
a person in a suit. This person is their
coach. Other coaches surround the team.
They are assistant coaches. They make
important decisions during the game. They
decide which athletes will play in the game.
They plan strategies.
