                  About 850 of the 1,000 students wore pink to





























                        school that day. Word quickly spread. Students all over  Nova Scotia started to wear pink. Within a  month, news had reached people in other  parts of the world. They started wearing  pink shirts too. Price and Shepherd’s small  act of kindness sparked a movement. A few  weeks later, the Nova Scotia premier, Rodney  MacDonald, got involved. He named the  second Thursday of September Stand Up   Against Bullying Day.
