P
eople of the world are made up of many
races
. Other races
can look very different from each other. Look around you.
What differences do you see? You may see a lot of people
who look like you and a lot of people who don’t look like you. No
matter what a person looks like, they are still a person. They have
feelings, favourite foods and drinks, pets, and enjoy playing games.
If they attend your school, they study the same subjects as you
with the same teachers. What is something you do the same as
someone who does not look like you?
People travel all over the world. People also leave their home
country to go and live somewhere else. Canada is made up of
people frommany different places around the world. Some are
treated badly because they look different from others. Some
people want everyone to be and look the same. They don’t want
to accept others that don’t have the same beliefs.

racism
