ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stuart A. Kallen has written more than 350 nonfiction books for
children and young adults. His books have covered a wide arc of human
history, culture, and science, from the building of the pyramids to
the music of the twenty-first century. His recent titles include Malala
Yousafzai, Cutting Edge Entertainment Technology, and Running Dry:
The Global Water Crisis, a Children’s Book Committee at Bank Street
College Best Children’s Book of the Year. Kallen, who lives in San
Diego, California, is also a singer-songwriter and guitarist.
