In 2016 astronomers found a
black hole that is two hundred
million light-years away from
Earth. The black hole is seventeen
billion times the mass of the sun. But
what really surprised scientists about
this black hole is that it was found in
a small galaxy. Some scientists say
that the discovery is like seeing a
skyscraper in a small town—instead of
in a large city, where it would be expected.
