that will eventually collide and merge. If this is the case, it may be
producing gravitational waves that researchers such as those at
LIGO would be excited to study.
POWER OF A THOUSAND SUNS
Although black holes are often understood as objects that suck
in everything near them and never let anything out, black holes
are often seen shooting off blasts of gases and debris in what are
called particle jets. These jets are incredibly bright, and they move
almost as fast as the speed of light.
