eg used the crowbar to pry up one of
the slabs of stone. He lifted it up like
it weighed nothing at all, but it made a heavy
bang when it landed on the floor next to Lottie.
He’s stronger than he looks
, she thought to herself.
Underneath where the stone had been was a
hole leading down into a dark space. Suddenly,
Lottie wasn’t so sure about her plan to go after
the treasure. Uncle Bert noticed her hesitate.
