The Basics
Relationships, Power,
Consent,
and Boundaries
I’m not gonna lie. #MeToo can be a sad and dreary
topic. But we’re in this together, and the good news is that it
all starts with a fun subject you’re probably very comfortable
with: relationships.
A relationship is any connection you have with someone
else. You have a relationship with your mother, your teach-
ers, your friends, the clerk at the grocery store, boyfriends,
girlfriends, and even people at school who you don’t know
very well. Some relationships are more meaningful in your
life than others. Every relationship feels different.
You can have a peer relationship, which is a relationship
between you and someone who is close to your age. You can
