Scientists are looking for life elsewhere in our solar
system. Water is fundamental for life on Earth. Plants
and animals are made mostly of water. Water carries
nutrients and other vital substances through the bodies
of living things. If a planet has liquid water on it, it may
have life too.
Scientists think that
planets with liquid water
could have life on them.
