At age 15, Greta spoke at the 24th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework
Convention on Climate Change. During the conference, she said, “I’ve learned you are never
too small to make a difference.”
Learning about
Climate Change
reta’s ASD has helped spark her mission too. Greta first learned
Gabout climate change through a documentary she watched. She
was just eight years old. This knowledge changed her life. The girl was
outraged when she learned the effects of fossil fuels. She did not know
why more people were not mad too. Greta wanted to learn more about
it. She read articles and watched films about climate change.
Greta could not stop thinking about this global crisis. It made her
very sad for a few months. Her parents were worried about her. Their
daughter finally told them what was bothering her.
