Nanomedicine
The uses of nanomedicine we are likely to see in
the near future would have once read like a science-
fiction story. For example, nanorobots placed in the
bloodstream could warn of worsening illnesses or
repair damaged cells. Machines planted in the body’s
nervous system could monitor a person’s brain waves.
Today’s researchers believe that nanotechnology
can be applied to many different areas of medicine.
