                   Biggest Game Yet



                   Washington Redskins fans packed RFK Stadium. It was
                   New Year’s Eve 1972. A trip to the Super Bowl was on

                   the line.

                       It was early in the fourth quarter. Washington held

                   a seven-point lead. Redskins quarterback Billy Kilmer
                   took the snap. He dropped back to pass. The crowd of

                   53,000 waited.



























             Redskins defenders were able
             to keep Cowboys quarterback
              Roger Staubach from scoring
            touchdowns in the 1972 game.
