remains subject to all kinds of biases, hidden and otherwise.
Some of these biases involve ethics, or the set of moral behav-
iors that go along with scientifi c study. Over time scientists and
others have come up with ethical codes for scientifi c research.
If at all possible, for example, participation in a scientifi c study
should never harm volunteers. In addition, it is essential that the
