He didn’t have time to do the assignment
now. He could lie and say he’d submitted
it and it must’ve been deleted somehow.
He could deal with getting a lower grade.
Or, he could tell her the truth and ask for
an extension. After a moment of hesitation,
Ben knew what he had to do.
Ben entered the classroom and slowly
made his way to Ms. Jackson’s desk.
“Hi, Ms. Jackson,” he said.
She smiled at him. “Hello, Ben.”
“I forgot to do my assignment. Is there
any way I could turn it in later today?”
