wear suits and ties. Strict rules required them to rise and stand when
               their teachers entered the classroom. Despite the rules at school,
               Donald was becoming an unruly boy; he threw rocks at the chil-
               dren next door and threatened to call the police when their ball ac-
               cidentally bounced into his yard. At Kew-Forest, Donald was called
               “Donny,” “the Trumpet,” and “Flat Top” for his striking blond pom-
               padour. He made himself the center of attention, cracking jokes, in-
               terrupting his teachers, and throwing spitballs. His teachers quickly
               learned that he was headstrong and determined. In his 1987 best
               seller, Trump: Th  e Art of the Deal, Trump wrote that in second grade
               he punched his music teacher, giving him a black eye because he
               did not think he knew anything about music. Another teacher, Ann
               Trees, described Donald: “He would sit with his arms folded, with
