Partnership for Drug-Free Kids—www.drugfree.org
Previously known as Partnership for a Drug-Free America, Part-
nership for Drug-Free Kids is a nonprofi t organization dedicated
to reducing teen drug abuse and helping families affected by drug
abuse. Its website offers the most current information regarding
drug abuse as well as support for those affected by it.
Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP)—www.ssdp.org
The SSDP is an international network of students concerned
about the impact of drug abuse on their communities. Its goals
are to empower young people to participate in the political pro-
cess, push for sensible policies for a safer future, and fi ght back
against counterproductive policies that directly harm youth.
US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—www.fda.gov
The FDA is the federal government agency responsible for the
regulation and safety of the nation’s food and drug supply, in-
cluding marijuana-based medications. It oversees the scientifi c
approval of innovations that improve medicine, making it safer
and more effective for the public, and provides the public with
comprehensive information about medications.
