ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Matt Doeden began his career as a sportswriter, covering everything from high school sports to the
NFL. Since then he has written hundreds of children’s and young adult books on topics ranging from
history to sports to current events. His book Darkness Everywhere: The Assassination of Mohandas
Gandhi was listed among the Best Children’s Books of the Year by the Children’s Book Committee at
Bank Street College. Doeden lives in Minnesota with his wife and two children.
