Julie Kentner grew up in Boissevain, Manitoba. One of her grandfathers enlisted
in the First World War, her grandparents were farmers in southwestern Manitoba
during the Great Depression, and her great-uncle fought at D-Day in the Second
World War. She now lives in Winnipeg with her husband, Eric, and their three cats:
Max, Nico, and Rory.
