Vince Coleman
Vince Coleman was a train
dispatcher in Halifax when he
heard the collision and learned
that the ships in Halifax Harbour
were about to explode. He stayed
at his desk to warn an incoming
passenger train about the looming
disaster. He didn’t survive, but his
sacrifice saved 700 people.
