Fun Fact

                                              Gay-straight alliances

                                            (GSAs) and queer-straight
                                           alliances (QSAs) are school

clubs. They are run by students
who want to support the LGBTQ
                                          community. They are a safe

place for kids to talk about
                                            LGBTQ issues. Many GSAs
                                              and QSAs take part in

                                                    Pride events.

Gender symbols were first used to

represent the gay community in the 1970s. A

circle with a cross represents females. A circle

with an arrow represents males. Two of the

same gender symbols together are a symbol

                          of gay women or men.
