Awareness and Education

Canadians can learn about biodiversity by reading books

and watching documentaries about the variety of life and

ecosystems in the country. They can attend workshops

and lectures offered by experts who manage biodiversity.

They can study at a university or technical school for a

career in a related field. They can get out into nature and

                             explore biodiversity firsthand.

                             Activism

Canadians can also encourage the Government of Canada

to take stronger action on conserving biodiversity.

Individuals can write letters or send emails asking
Many national parks have educational programs for visitors.

preserve biodiversity in Canada. They can lobby the

government to create new parks and green spaces or

to give larger penalties to corporations that pollute

                             the environment.
