ave you ever wondered
who decides what you
should learn in school? Perhaps
you wonder who pays to build
hospitals or who sets speed
limits. Provincial and territorial
governments are responsible for
all these things and much more.
They are one of the three levels of
government in Canada. The other
two levels are the municipal and
federal governments. Each level
has different responsibilities.
Provincial and territorial
governments are found in each
of Canada’s ten provinces and three
territories. They take care of local
issues that affect the people who
live there. Municipal governments
are found in

places as well
as cities and towns across the
