The Titanic had a gymnasium, swimming pool, and beautiful
cabins. Yet it didn’t have enough lifeboats for every person
on board. The ship’s twenty lifeboats would hold only 1,178
people. But even so, the Titanic had more lifeboats on board
than the law required.
