Beware:
Unlike binders and notebooks, accordion files stow
papers out of sight, which makes it easy to forget what’s in
there. To avoid overstuffed files and to keep this system running
smoothly, take a few minutes each month to clear out anything
you don’t need and to reorganize the stuff that you do.
When you finish an assignment
at night, place it in the Current
Topic slot.
This way you always
know where your homework is.
Anytime you get a handout or
work returned to you in class,
immediately put it in its place so
that everything stays sorted.
