The Three-Ring Binder
How it works:
Every time you get a new assignment—or get back an old one—you
simply put holes in it with a three-hole punch (unless it already has holes in it) and
plug it into the right section. Use your color-tabbed dividers to sort papers into the
following five sections for each class. (
The Right Sort
, on page 34, will explain what
each section is for.)
Essential tool: the three-hole punch
Every time you get a piece of paper
that isn’t prepunched, use this to get it
binder-ready.
In addition to these five, feel free to make other custom tabs tailored for each
class, like a Vocab section for English or a Lab section for biology.
