Huayna Capac was a Sapa Inca who ruled from
1493 to 1525.

he Incas referred to their emperor as
the Sapa Inca. He lived in the capital
city of Cuzco. The Sapa Inca was an
absolute ruler. Everything in the empire
belonged to him. His word was law. The
Incas believed he was a
descendant
of
the sun god, Inti. They treated him with
great honor and respect.
