HELPING WITH EVERYDAY TASKS
There are many ways to help elderly
neighbors. People can do yard work.
They can pick up sticks, mow lawns, trim
bushes, or plant flowers. They can also
help inside the home. People can vacuum.
They can do laundry or take on other
housekeeping tasks. In addition, houses
need maintenance. Sometimes things break
and need to be fixed. If a volunteer has
the knowledge and experience, he or she
can help fix certain things. This may be as
